A+E Upfront 2018: The Storytellers - inspirational stories from an all-female line up.  

Objective

Solution

Create an immersive event providing A+E's brands with a platform to tell individual stories. For 2018 the specific objective was to showcase an iconic line-up of all-female talent from across the industry on both sides of the camera.  â€‹

The design and aesthetic of the A+E Networks 2018 Upfront were meticulously crafted to reflect the brand's identity—fun, playful, yet sophisticated, confident, understated, and chic. From the smallest details, like custom-designed napkins, to broader elements such as sound design and event graphics, the entire experience was carefully curated.

From the lenticular graphic added to the iconic steps of the New York Public Library to the cocktail hour, dinner, and curated gift bags, the entire event was designed as a 360-degree immersive experience. With social media buzzing, the evening created a powerful platform for stories to be told and heard—especially during a time when women's voices are rising louder across the globe.

Queen Latifah, Toni Braxton, Kristin Davis, Olivia Munn, Marcia Clark, and Leah Remini took the stage, each sharing personal stories and introducing exciting previews from A+E’s network lineup, including History, A&E, Lifetime, and Viceland. The company also unveiled a major new project—"History 100"—a series of 100 documentaries that will unfold over several years, featuring stories on figures and events like Mikhail Gorbachev, Watergate, and a behind-the-scenes look at Air Force One during 9/11. History is also gearing up for "Evel Live," a thrilling Las Vegas stunt show in the spirit of Evel Knievel.

Cameroonian singer-songwriter Irma dazzled the audience with opening performance on a fully projection mapped stage.

Role

As the Executive Producer for The Sunshine Company, I was responsible for overseeing the stage content creation, front to end management of Irma's stage performance, all dressing and decor, leading the production team, coordinating all creative and AV vendors, and executing the on-site build.
